Share health data safely

Best practices for caregivers, providers, and household sharing.

Last updated 2026-08-08

Overview

Safe sharing in HealthNaviq means using Family invites, provider acceptance flows, and report/visit materials — not password sharing, and not posting screenshots into group chats when avoidable.

Why use it

Intentional sharing protects dignity and reduces the blast radius if a phone is lost.

Where to find it

How to

  1. 1
    Prefer in-app relationships

Invite caregivers through Family and providers through Providers accept flows.

  2. 2
    Set least privilege

Grant view-only when that is enough; expand only if management is required.

  3. 3
    Use time-bound materials for visits

Bring Reports/Care Wallet to appointments instead of granting permanent access to every helper.

  4. 4
    Revoke promptly

Remove people and disconnect integrations you no longer need.

Troubleshooting

Someone still has access after I removed them

Ask them to sign out, confirm removal in Shared access/Providers, and contact Support if access remains.
